F1 season 2015

I wouldn't be surprised if Dennis was laying out the ground rules for a Hamilton return to McLaren in 2 years, as there was no other reason for him to comment on Hamilton's recent talk of "...finding drink", and he still admires Hamilton's ability to get the most out of any machine given him. He'll want a proven champion in the car when the Honda starts to sing! Alonso will be too old to take the risks needed, and Vettel won't be leaving Ferrari any time soon - So who else is there?

Don’t think we will see Lewis back in a McLaren anytime soon, if ever.

I said about 3 years ago he needs to start winning championships, it would have been sad for a driver with his talent to finish his career only to have won it once.
Now he won his third championship I think he will stay with Mercedes as long as he’s winning, but I think any driver with his talent will want to drive and win at Ferrari

Ron wouldn't want him back Ghost; was way too disruptive and documented if you go back and check on the memory: plus Mercedes are now singing off the same hymn sheet; and Ferrari may be Italian but can read English language postings...

PLUS: Ron already has Alonso and Button so if Alonso and Button can't make it work do you seriously, and I mean seriously SERIOUSLY, think Hamilton could?

Me ribs am now hurtin 'cos I think you think he could... :haha:

I'm sure Hamilton would want a Ferrari drive, but I doubt the offer will come as long as Vettel's doing his job well enough! Ferrari have always been a #1 and #2 driver setup, and I couldn't see either driver agreeing to be the latter.

The problem, I think, with Button and Alonso is that they're both very similar in (technical) driving style, and they're both getting old. Dennis prefers a "hare & tortoise" combination of drivers, so if one style fails, the other has a good chance of delivering! Appointing Alonso for this season was genius, because he knows how to setup a chassis, and at the same time you're not really giving him a chance of winning the Championship because the Engine was unproven - He's now a double world champion test driver. :)

Hamilton in 2017 or '18 has to be a possibility ...not forgetting it was Alonso (the grass) that cost McLaren £50 million in fines and caused Dennis to have to leave F1 for a while! but he still took him back. And only a couple of weeks ago said he see's himself as Hamilton's surrogate father, who wouldn't have allowed him to lead the current party lifestyle that he is (...but he understands it's probably because Lewis missed out on his childhood because of racing commitments ...etc.) - so there's room there for forgiveness, maybe.

As many have said, he's leading the life of a F1 driver of the past and good on him. He's stinking rich, lives in a playboys paradise during the season and the coolest city, possible in the world (Miami) in the off season. Go for it, I say. As long as he tests and beats everyone else the way he's been doing then his employers can't complain. As they say, there no such thing as bad publicity. Publicity is publicity and he brings Merc and their other sponsors bucket loads of it. His fan base is the biggest of any F1 driver across the world, his shares just keep rising.

And I quite like the animosity between Lewis and Nico, it's ****** entertaining! Much more entertaining than the last three F1 races combined anyways! Also love Vettel winding them up on the podium for the whole season.

It'll certainly bring people back to watch the F1 circus next season - even if it's only because they're hoping for an all out war. ;)

Well the big teams better get there asses in gear an crack on building next years cars as they havent even started yet! There all still in the design stage, homologation deadline is only 11 weeks away!

Normally im flat out busy with F1 work this time of year..... at present im barely managing to string together a 40hr week compared to 70+ this time last year.

I LIKE Sebastian; playful little basta*d that he is, and funny with it: plus he keeps his private life private...

NALF i.e., 45bvtc just in case I ain't made it clear already...

Just thinking on, I might send all three a Christmas card making sure the Christmas Greetings are sent from the other/another... :friends:

But only one will get a kiss...

Forgive me if this sounds massivly condesending, but it really is the easiest way to explain it in a bit more detail....

You know when your sitting at home watching F1, WEC races or top gear repeats on Dave, and all those cars are dripping with carbon.... well theres a very small niche area of engineering/manufacturing called "composites" where guys & girls spend all day making parts out of carbon (known as composite laminators) & then other guys & girls finish & assemble those parts to build say a Red Bull rear wing or a Noble M600 body or a Mclaren P1 door etc (known as composite fitters).

Im one of those guys that does that.
