Facelift alcantara gearknob

Hi all, just wondering if anybody has fitted the facelift gearknob to their PFL car?

I would like to do this, I would expect it to be a simple swop but always best to ask on here first if anyone has done it!

I purchased the alcantara gear knob for my PFL when the leather was looking a little worn.
This is a direct fit. Just remember not to press the gear selector switch on the new one otherwise you will be having to dismantle it to reset the latch.

Thanks for the reply, and tip on the latch. Did you order from eBay or Audi? My leather is fine, just prefer alcantara.

On eBay you can buy the gearknob or the gearknob with also the leather base think I'll go for a new leather base with it as will make fitting easier.

I ordered just the gear knob only as my leather gaiter is fine.
I ordered through eBay, as the seller was an independent parts specialist looking at his stock. I think I paid £160 delivered for the part.

Same seller I was looking at, there is another seller and for £10 more you get a new leather base which I thought was a no brainer!
