Hi All,

Just starting a new thread, my first one. I have recently done a retrofit of the 3g+ in my 2010 A4 which had a Symphony active system, so quite a few bits have been changed and I have done a few of the usual Vagcom mods along with lately updating the maps and firmware to the latest 2016 version.

Now after doing all this I have done some scans and have seen a few fault codes which I can seem to work out how to fix, these are as below so please do let me know if you know how to fix the particular fault:

Any help on the above would be greatly appreciated!

Have all these codes been cleared since retrofitting and come back or did you just clear the SVM error?

Is the system actually working?

I haven't cleared any fault codes as yet since the retrofit and all the changes, only took the correction measures for the SVM fault and that cleared the fault itself.

I would like to actually fix the fault rather than just clear it, although now that you say talk about clearing, some of the faults around the radio antennae could be from before when I hadn't connected up the antennea so I might do that with those ones and see if they pop back up again!

And the system is working fine for now as of now, absolutely loving it!

The no communication faults, open circuits and potentially the GPS will be when you disconnected the old system and the 3GP system from its original car.

I would clear them all and see what comes back.

ADS will stay but I bet the others won't come back or certainly the majority anyway.

Ok fair enough, will have a go at clearing the faults and will see if they come back, although I am confused about the short to ground one on the digital radio, that shouldn't exist at all if the connections are all fine!

Will report back after clearing.

Again if everything is working then likely it was a fault that occurred during install but once you clear all and see what comes back we should know what actual faults remain.

Ok so worked on this tonight, cleared all the faults in the modules and majority seem to have gone, I will keep an eye on them after a run tomorrow or day after to see if any come back, only one that remains persistent and keeps coming back is

This one came up after the maps update and it clears with the following procedure but seems to come back again everytime I scan 5F for faults

Go to green menu
DTC > Control > move slider to 73 > Click 'Send test passed' > Reset MMI using 3 button

Any ideas on how to clear this one?

The Charisma switch one and the GPS antenna one's still remain as expected.

The above fault is now cleared using a script that clears the FSC after doing the map update so that has permanently fixed the fault code

Just did a scan today and this random fault has appeared, any idea what this is?

Hi there could anyone help me please with this error code I keep getting. I've recently retrofitted reav view cam on my audi a6 c6 avant I've tapped into can bus wires created extra fuse for cam module, changed my mmi to a fbas module. When I tapped into the can bus I did this just by using the quick snap on connectors like you would if you needed to power another source or something so woundering if this could be causing the problem as I haven't soldered the wires onto the canbus wires.. But anyway here is my fault codes, any help would be greafull.

Have you checked to make sure that the coding in the parking controller is okay for this camera being fitted, I thought some parking controllers could not be used with rear camera, could be wrong there with your model though.

I will have to double check on that as not to sure but if I'm correct the parking assist it want let me go into that sometimes and throws errors but will double check tonight.. My main concern is that it could be how I connected the wires to the can bus and not soldered them as the clips I used only nip into the wire so this could be the pro lem I will have to strip a bit of the wire and attach direct and see what it says after that

Your parking module should also be compatible for a rear view camera. So there is possibility that you have to change your parking module.

A3 8V Facelift Limousine

OK do I'm guessing if I get the number off top of the module I can Google that and it will tell me.. I'm correct in thinking the parking module is just under my tool jack tray where I just installed the cam module.

OK I'm not sure if I'm being stupid here but do I need to have parking sensors for this to work or the module from parking sensors for the cam to work as I was under the impression that I didn't have to.
