So I thought I’d treat myself to a new steering wheel for my 3.0Tdi Tip Avant, found a nice S line semi perforated MFSW with paddles and red stitching. The part number was the same from what was given by the seller. Turns out the wheel is from an 09 Cab which I’ve now discovered uses a different airbag so my airbag won’t fit. So few options I see.
1. Find a cab airbag and use that, will that work with my current air bag wiring?
2. Try and find the right wheel for a B7 but I can’t seem to find many MFSW with paddles for decent money.
3. Get at my original with a Stanley blade and see if the paddles will fit once the leather is cut. I did slide the control buttons out and can see what appears to be a hole in the moulding where the screw goes down through to the paddle
Any help would be greatly appreciated
