footwell lights opinion needed

Im just after your opinions about footwell lights, i am going to retrofit the front ones tomorrow as not to fussed with the rear, the question i have is would you wire them so that the left comes on when you open the left door and the same for the right or both on when you open just one door?

Personally would depend which is easier. Is it an easy mod? If both options were the same I would have it so that left door only triggers left light

Factory fit ones on mine, and they light up woth the relevant door.

Thanks i was going to do the seperate ones as i dought you will need both on when only one door is open

OEM is per door and a little more complicated to connect into Convenience Module, but very satisfying when done!

I'd be quite happy with them both coming on with the main light when either door is opened. Easier to do and saves faffing with the convenience module.

Can't you just tap them into the red door lights (assuming you have them?)

I've also been thinking about this, but when I gave the part number to the dealer, it came up as a B5 number plate light (or interior boot light, I don't remember now). The part number I have is 8D0 947 415 - does anyone know if this is correct?
