Hi all son has a 2007 a3 8p 2.0 tdi sline his drivers floor was getting really wet like as if a pint of water was on the floor when it rained, me and my son looked high and low could not find anything we could see it was running down the metal colum inside the car as there was rust on it but could not find where the rain water was coming from took the scuttle panel of, and resealed that still water was getting in took it all of again and found where the water was getting in, in the far corner where the bonnet cable goes there is a rubber body that goes around the cable it had started to crack and all the water was running down into the footwell so we sealed around the bonnet cable, and we have not had any problems since' sorry for the long post just hope this helps someone.
