I'm going to be replacing my brakes on my Audi a3 8v, Is it best to replace the 2 bolts on the caliper or just use the one's i remove again and torque to spec ?
Some pads sets come with new caliper bolts so might be worth looking into.
Trw stuff always comes with bolts and accessories that’s why I like using their stuff.
Caliper bolts - ok to reuse. These are the 7mm Allen key screws that are in the rubber shroud with a cap on (35Nm) .
Carrier bolts are 'stretch' or 'torque to yield' (TTY) bolts and should be replaced (200Nm). If reusing, I wouldn't put another 200Nm on a bolt that has already gone past its elastic limit. Certainly worth getting new ones.
