Ok so this RDX spoiler turned up

first impression is good but as it happens it doesn't quite fit right - slightly too long in the middle.

I'm trying to get RDX to either send me another or return this one, however up to now its not been very successful - the joys of buying from Germany and using google translate lol!
My local body specialist has qouted me £260 to paint and fit the rear spoiler, cut the front RDX one in half and take it down then plastic weld / rejoin the spoiler to fit correctly then paint.

My concerns are if he does cut it that will introduce a weak spot which is not what i wanted and is why i chose the plastic injection molded spoiler in the first place. plus the cost factor, I'm beginning to think this is all well and good but £150 for the RDX spoiler plus £260 for fitting £410, how much realistically will is cost me to source and fit a late style front bumper / bonnet etc?

i'd have gone big grille personally, or if you were gonna spend that kiknda money on a front spoiler i'd have gotten a Votex one. it can be done inexpensively if you're patient enough for parts to come up for sale.

Replace the front end for a s-line front end off a 8P2, it'll look far better than that kit.

Price wise its just a case of waiting for the part to come up at the right price. Best bet is to phone around breakers for the bumper and bonnet, you should be able to get them for cheap if your prepared to spend the time phoning around. Then you'll need the grill and foglight surrounds. Probably allow £300-350 for painting

get the sport bumper an that will save you alot on the facelift just bumper and bonnet then as the grills/fogs form your existing bumper fit strait in

Bit of an update, It would seem RDX in Germany had sent me the 8P2 facelift spoiler and have since sent me the correct one which fits great.

Rear S3 spoiler going on Saturday then just some mudflaps to fit.

That looks really decent actually! I like it, and actually prefer the spilt grill, makes front end look wider and lower in my opinion.

cheers!

think if money no object the single grill facelift would've been on the cards but pleased with the look it has now

same with me matey money is kind of tight at the mo but if i had more then the facelift is on the cards , but im kind of liking the split grill at the min as everybody is updating there cars to the full frame grill so it makes ours more unique eh
