I do not like space-savers, so bought a full size spare for my Golf Mk7.
The car has been sold but I still have the spare, which is in very good condition.
The wheel is in fact for a Audi 8V Part Number: 8V0601025BM 6.5J x 16, 5 x 112, ET46, 57.1 Centre-bore.
The tyre is a Dunlop Sportmaxx 205/55/16 with 7 mm tread at the centre, 6.5 mm at the edge. A new tyre would have 8mm tread.
If you have a space-saver in the boot, then the wheel retainer might no longer fit, but the wheel is firmly held in the well. To use the plastic retainer, one could cut away some of the plastic or buy a pukka insert designed for countries that do not take space-savers.
