G28 speed sensor fault.

Is this easy to change?

Anyone have an idea on location on a 2.0tdi
 
I'm unsure of the 2.0tdi, but on the 1.9 it was a bugg er to get at. It's away in, next to flywheel. Even getting it out was a problem due to the way it was angled. What VCDS code are you getting? Symptoms?

The module that the G28 error is occurring in - have you looked at its mileage? Its a lot less than your current.

Any other issues - symptoms? Flashing glowplug light? Checked all electrical connections? Attempted to clear the DTCs?
 
Power steering warning light on.causing loss of power steering
Fault can be cleared with VCDS and returns within 10 miles.
I'm just about to put the car up on stands and have a look at the sensor connections.
 
Would be a good idea. Check all grounds etc too.

PM me if you want a few pics emailed detailing location - ill try to get them off elsawin. You will, however (IIRC) remove the oil filter housing. Even then it is a disaster to get it out!

have you followed the turn the steering to the left and hold then right and hold and centre
 
turning the wheel will not sort the problem I have
 
After a chat with a Audi tech it seems changing this sensor is not very easy.
It located behind the oil filter/cooler and the insert that the bolt screws into is known to fail.
The insert is part of the rear crank oil seal carrier,gearbox clutch and flywheel out job.
Car booked in tomorrow....
