Gear plastic surround removal

Ive replaced my mahogany door inserts with some grey inserts and im due to to wrap the centre gearbox surround.

How do i remove this? Is it just a case of pulling the same way I did with the door ones?

Yep, just pull straight upwards,there's a small metal clip in each corner

open the ash tray if you have one , put your fingers at the edge of the surround and with a gentle bit of force pull up

Pull the gaiter out of the surround first.

Unclipped it, its attatched to the leather and gearknob, can i remove it from that or does it come of as a whole? Either way how do i removed it?

The surround comes away from the leather, should just push out downwards
