Gearbox retrofitting Yes or NO NO?

Hello Gents,
I looking for some knowledge here. I currently debating between the V6 TDI and the BITDI Avant and the price difference is huge.

Off course I wish to modify the chosen one later on and I know that the TDI can do better results with the right mods, but my only concern is the gearbox.

Would it be possible to retrofit the ZF 8 speed box and maybe the S6 rear differential on a V6 TDI. ?

I would appreciate some info in this topic.

Labour and parts would be the price of a small car..

Well it will not be done straight a way for sure, rear differential maybe not even needed, but the ZF8 retrofit would be the most important.

If it is a straight fit I cannot see why would the labor cost that much?
Suprisingly ZF8 boxes does not cost too much second hand. If hardware fits straight the rest is software job.
