Gloss black surrounds Centre console buttons

Is anyone able to help with my query..

I'd like to swap my center console buttons to have a gloss back surround, but unsure as to what I actually need to order to be able to swap over.
Do I need to order the whole assembly/strip of buttons and the casing etc? Or can I just buy the gloss black structure and everything can just swap over?

I'm just wondering if anyone has done this before or stripped it this back to add buttons or swap to gloss back surrounds like I'd like to do.

From what I've seen, S3's have them gloss and A3's don't(PL and FL), but as I'll be having them carbon fibre gloss inserts on the car soon this would definitely complement them nicely.

I think you're talking the complete unit mate - Mike has my reg number so tell him it's as fitted to my car.

You could always pull your centre switch panel out and try and prise them apart to see if it can be done of course it all boils down to what level of assembly Audi then supply them as parts.

Should come with the gloss black ones…the configurator interior pics show the gloss black centre buttons on the S3 but the standard plastic ones on A3 cars.
Make a complaint to Audi UK.

You would need to replace the complete unit. Pretty simple to do, just need to make sure you source / order the correct replacement.

I don't understand why he should complain to Audi? Hasn't he got what he's supposed to have, but wants to change to gloss (as per S variant)

My PFL S3 has the gloss black finish in-between the centre dash buttons, all the youtube previews/reviews of the new FL S3 as well as the Audi UK/German configurator pics show that the S3 should come with the gloss black finish centre buttons and the standard A3 should come with the plastic finish.
