Glow Plug Light Flashing and No Stop/Start

Hi,

I suddenly had the glow plugs light flashing and the stop start system is now diasabled by the car. The Engine Management Light is a solid amber (unsure if this is because the stop/start is disabled) and i'm in limp home mode. This has suddenly happened and the car showed no issues earlier in the day.

I havent taken it to a garage yet so wondering:

1) What it could/likely be.
2) Are there any diagnostic machines you would recommend (handheld or laptop).
3) If a specialist is needed, any recommendations in the south west/west midlands.

So tried this morning from cold and no change. Warning message on dash is start stop system fault. Function unavaliable.

DPF issue? I know when my DPFs were gutted those same lights came on and stop/start was unavailable.

Issue turned out to be Turbo Boost Pressure Sensor. ODIS report from dealer was several pages of fault codes! However, car was losing so much power it had to be pushed in reverse. All fine after replacing.
