The 5W 40 oil will be slightly thicker when hot. Also recommended for higher mileage standard cars.
You are only going for a stage 1 map and so no worries. The only thing is that not all oils of the same viscosity ratings have the same lubricating qualities. If for example it was cheap oil you had fitted you are more likely to have premature wear of components like the fuel pump cam follower even if the rating is within the Audi recommendation.
Also most people with a tuned up engine change the oil much more frequently and certainly do not have longlife servicing. The longlife oil is OK , it is the massive amounts of time the oil is in the engine that is the problem.
Many of us with tuned engines use Millers Nanodrive engine oil.
If your car is tuned to stage 1+ or 2+ you will need a higher rated fuel pump. This puts even more strain on that cam follower mentioned above.
I read a post on another forum where the cam follower had worn through in only 2000 miles. That is bad as it costs lots to put right. Cheap oil from ECP had been used. On the other hand, I recently inspected the cam follower on a TTS at stage 2+. This car was using the Nanodrive oil. The car had done 5000 miles since I last inspected and the cam follower still looked brand new.
