Google earth not updating to high res images

Hi folks
I am new to the Audi family.. collected my Q5 yesterday and enjoying the ride so far (a lot). I inserted a data sim card in the glove box and true enough Google earth became available.. and boy does it look stunning on the virtual cockpit!
I read somewhere that MMI downloads Google earth images of a certain radius and uses it for offline access for the future.

This morning when I drove to work, I enabled google earth again, but it seems to be picking up images from the load yesterday... based on the low res images of my route to work (which is "new" to the system). How do I make it force download new updates so that the images become hi res again?

.............i get the free up dated map for my SQ5 2018 model but i've no idea how you get the latest version installed?.
