I have 58 plate A3s line 2.0 tdi on 56 tho miles, with is bad weather we had I've not used it for a week upon starting it today and driving 3 miles, when I turned car off the fan or fan noise was still goin the temp gage was at normal/ below normal due to short trip is this normal to hear this nose never heard it before but since this weather it's happend 2 out of 2 times going out. Show I be worried or is it normal

Yeah, that's normal. It's weird the engine got up to temp in just 3 miles though.

The thing is my normal running temp is 90 and it was below this

It won't get up to 90 in 3 miles mate. Especially in the current cold climate

Ok mate cheers but why would it come on cos there was Norway the car was overheating

It's probably DPF related, not a overheating issue.

No, the DPF is doing a re-gen, its normal. Mine does it from time to time. Radiator stays on for about 5mins after a run even though the car is turned off and locked.

Give it a good run and it'll all settle down
