I have a 2012 A4 175bhp Quattro. CGLC engine code.
When driving along in normal traction mode (ESC on) the car drives fine. However if I press the ESC button once, changing it to Sport on the dash, in higher gears and engine loads, 4th and 5th gear, I will get s small hesitation between 2000-3000rpm, where you can feel the engine hold back for a split second, then pick up again. It will do it 2-3 times during that band at above 75% throttle.
It doesn't feel like a misfire as ts not violent enough, it's almost like the turbo is surging/over posting and ecu making a minor change to control it. No fault codes showing.
Also does not happen when ESC is fully off. So only in sport.
As far as I'm aware there is no switchable mapping on these.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Car is Audi used approved do has about 10.5months left on it. Easiest thing would be to bang it in the dealers to investigate, but can almost guarantee they will say no fault found as there's no codes showing.
