This week I plan to takle the passenger side front wheel bearing.
Ive bought AUDI A4 A6 A8 S6 S8 RS4 RS6 1.6 1.8 1.9 2.0 2.4 2.5 2.7 3.0 WHEEL BEARING FRONT | eBay

I believe I have all the tools required.

The one concern I have is if I require the use of a bearing press?
Some say yes. Some say no as I have bought a bearing kit with the bearing already pressed into a new hub.

But then this 'kit' may then need to be pressed onto the wheel carrier? (Not sure of the correct name for this component?)

I think im confused as to what is the hub exactly? Or is this bearing 'kit' is just the bearing??

like here..

Any advice?

You can push the bearing on with a vice

Really easy to do the bearing can be a pain to get out but it will go

I have a vice so I have that covered to get it on..

How about getting the old off?

Or does anyone know where I can get a replacement hub from? Ive tried everywhere..

Why replace the hub, get some wood and a hammer it will come out.

When i did the back ones on mine they were really stubbon had to give them the death on the press to get them out! ... not sure if the front are the same but the rear bearing are directional when being pressed in ;) ...

My hub was pushed out before the bearing ;-)

I just used a suitable sized socket on the back of it and hammered it out

not sure what size it was but it was a big one lol
