I noticed when driving to work this morning my headlights were aimed too high (both sides)
They are adaptive Bi-xenons. Pulled over and turned car off and on again, lights did the usual left to right dance and up and down movement, but seemed to point up too high?
Sounds to me like a level sensor fault? Could be a snapped arm?
No chance to take a look yet, or check for faults with VCDS, but wasn't sure if the beam went too low or too high when the level sensors break?
I have turned on the headlight converter via MMI to bring the beam down a touch (still seems high though!)

I read somewhere recently that lowering can upset the balance due to the control arm being at a different angle, that may not apply to you though

Just an update to this... Despite no faults showing with VCDS my rear left level sensor had snapped, and was causing the issue. Sensors aren't cheap at around £100 each (theres 4 on cars with adaptive lights!)
