Headlight error

Hi everyone. I recently had a drivers side headlight bulb go out on my Audi A4 B8. I bought 2 new d3s bulbs so changed both at the same time, after fitting they worked fine but after driving for a short period of time either one or the other and sometime both go out and throw up a message on the dash saying bulbs gone and they are not working. Don’t understand why this is happening as they are brand new bulbs.

Assuming you pushed the connector fully home as they sometimes can appear so but not.

You mean the connector that you push into the bulb?

Yes, they have a temperamental kinda thin spring piece you depress to remove & ideally when fitting as to not break, make sure its definitely clipped in ok.
