Hello

I've noticed that my car has been using water, i've seen loads of threads reffering to a bleed screw? But couldnt seem to find it?! Anyway; I've noticed that my heaters don't really get that hot, compared with what you expect?

The car has no signs or power loss etc or any of the usual signs of headgasket failure. I'm thinking maybe i have an airlock in the coolant system?

Does that sound right to anyone, and if not what is wrong?!

By the way its a 1.8T

Any help would be appreciated :)

Cheers Matt

If you take the engine cover off you should be able to see it to the right hand side, in about the centre of the metal pipe, most 1.8T's have a bit of corrosion round it so you shouldn't miss it mate, be carefull as these can be tight and have a tendancy to snap.
