Help!! Car is limiting itself :(

I Have an Audi A3 1.6 8v its its losing compression from somewhere i have taken my induction kit off and put the standard airbox back on and also changed the spark plugs but still have the same problem it limits itself at 5500 revs is very slow and splutters in high revs.
if anyone has any ideas of what it could be please message me

maybe your maf sensor?

Try unplugging it and see if it runs better without it plugged in.
