I bought my A4 complete with a paint chip that goes right down to its soul!

I need some help,I have no idea how it happened but i do know the car has had a new windscreen fitted for a "chip".
Can someone please advise me how to tackle this?
Maybe i need to bite the bullet and take it to a local paint repair company?
