The car has run perfect up to 120000 miles yet on starting from cold I have noticed a sound that sounds like a stone being thrown around under the bonnet.
On inspection and trying to locate this noise I cannot tell if its coming from the alternator or somewhere around that area???!!!
The noise dissapears after a few revs.
ANY HELP OR ADVICE MUCH APPRECIATED.

PS - if it was O/pump crank in sump etc, what sort of noice would that give??
