Hi guys,
I have a 2006 A3 2.0TFSI
Last week i had a rough idle with the rev needle hovering up and down and shooting up to 2k revs and back down, narrowed it down to a bad PCV and Breather hose which was replaced - all seemed fine, it fixed the rough idle & misfire.. however a few days later now the Emissions Control System light has popped up on the left side of the dash.. in yellow.
After this came on, i decided to press the 'check' button.. it's showing firstly Brake system, Coolant and Oil pressure in red when going through the sequence - is that normal?
I was wondering what could be causing the yellow Emissions light to turn on, and if it could be something to do with the PCV which was replaced last week? I do have a hole in the exhaust i think as the exhaust does seem louder/gruntier if that makes sense.. not sure if it could be that?
Any advice would be appreciated!
