Help Installing Dashcam

Hi all,

Just picked up my B8 2008 Audi S-Line today... LOVE IT!

In my old car, which had about 15 million 12v sockets, I used to have a 0801 Mini Dashcam which I had powered off the 12v outlet in the rear with all the cables running under the center console up into the glovebox and along the B Pillar to the camera... Given the fact the Audi only has two 12v sockets, how has everyone installed theirs?

Most people hardwire directly into the fuse box using fuse taps/Add-A-Circuits. What camera are you installing? If the power cable comes with a cigarette jack plug you can buy a female cigarette jack on eBay for $1 and put that in the fuse box. Or you could of course run the cables hidden as far as possible and then plug it into one of the sockets. It all depends how much work you want to put into it and what result you're happy with.
