Help needed, a6 avant front passenger window weird!

hi all,

HaD a problem with the front passenger window, not going up all the way, say 5 cms from the top, it sounded like broken glass or a bit of glass stuck in the runners etc. now after doing it up and down to try and free what I thought was glass, the window seems to have come off its runners or something, so basically I can hold it and push it up or down by myself!!!

So someone could just do the same in a car park etc.

I rang green flag to come out and thy said it was probably the widow regulator, as the wires get all tangled up or something?

Thinking about it the noise I could hear could have been a wire noise...

Any help or advice, would be brilliant...

Took the door card off, cable wire hanging down, so need a new regulator.

Looked on ebay loads for 28 quid, 2yr warranty, euro car parts are 50 quid....

Anybody got any info on ebay ones, have you fitted them and they are ok?

Just need a garage to fit it. Can my local garage do it, or is it best to take it to an audi specialist. Lion garage is near to me.......

Rough idea of cost?
