Hi all can anybody help me code a replacement yaw sensor on my a4 3.0

Car is as stated a4 3.0 quattro, I had fault code 01542 faulty yaw sensor, I have replaced this but still having the same problem, brakes locking and esp light coming on
Ive been told the replacement sensor needs coding ie basic brake setup

Can you confirm that the coding procedure needs ro be carried out on the replacement yaw sensor
