I am in the process of adding front parking sensors to my FL A3. Now got to the stage of wiring up to the PDC module under the dash and I’ve hit a problem.

I have replaced the 4 channel PCD module (I already have rear sensors) with an 8 channel module, and I am stuck trying to add the extra wiring between the existing 26 pin connector and the park control switch on the instrument panel.

My instructions and the circuit diagrams show that the switch should connect to pins 16 and 17 on the 26 pin PDC module connector. The problem is that these 2 pins are already occupied (yellow/blue and yellow green wires).

Can anyone help please?

Ok. Problem solved.

Despite my kit coming with a cable to connect between the PDC module and the switch, it seems that this wiring is already in place in the OEM loom. Which is why pins 16 and 17 are already occupied. I realised this when I removed the switch panel just now and found the relevant 2 pins also had connections to them, and a continuity test confirmed things.
