Help! Peeling...

Hi All,

Walking back to the car today and spotted this:

There has been no obvious bumps to it (that I know of), so it must have purely just deteriorated, fell and then been slapped by a speed bump.
Has anyone else had anything similar happen? Is this fatal/requiring of a replacement or can I just get rid of the flaky covering?

Given the location, age, I'd say its been scraped even minutely, thus allowing ingress, unless you see any leaks, just rub it off & check every now & then.

Just remove the flaking rust and slap some exhaust paste on. Mine's passed its MOT twice like that.
