Time for a change the A4 2.0tdi avant that served me so well over the last 18 months has gone.

Considered an RS4 but as this will be a daily driver S4 makes more sense arrived last week.

So first job done, wheels off clean up brakes and calipers, wheels off for refurb.

Love the rotors but not the satin grey and diamond cut edge thinking of going bright silver all over?

As we all know , alloys are an intensely personal choice ,with some broad spectrum favourites like Rotors- methinks they're lovely in grey or black but keeping the polished parts, seen quite a few sets of all silver ,and all black- that just don't do it for me...( tho' I think my spare set of original Dynamik alloys in all black look fine, the wife, a petrolhead, strongly disagrees!)
Why not get get another set of alloys (one set is never enough) and keep the rotors original and tucked away?
Just my tuppenceworth......!

I agree Mack, I have one set of dynamiks in all gloss black and just about to get my other set powder coated in Matt Ricer Bronze the wheels are definitely better all one colour...

Very nice, enjoy! Be prepared for mpg to drop, I've never driven a diesel but came from S3 to S4 and it took quite a dive (25% at least)

Nice, looks identical to mine (also a 2015 Avant). It has the CREC engine which includes MPI (so more valves getting clogged with carbon) which helps economy and also an electromagnetic clutch on the supercharger (which I believe disengages when cruising and idling) which also saves fuel. I can get over 35mpg+ taking it easy on the motorway. There were loads of other improvements made for the CREC engine as well.

I've had a lot of cars but this one I just love driving every single time. The stock exhaust note is perfect for me (getting old lol), just a very subtle growl during regular driving and then a nice pitch when flat out.

Wheels back on, and yes alloys are a personal thing but love the silver all ties in with mirrors really well.
