Hi can I tell if my Audi is a B7 or B8 or B8.5

Hi all please excuse me if this is a really stupid question, but I bought my first Audi two days ago and I’m looking for some parts. but some of the cars are saying B7, B8 and B8.5 around the same year as mine.
one what does this mean and to two can I find out.

I bought a Audi A4 avant S-Line black addition 2012

again this is my first ever Audi and my first ever post so sorry if it is a really stupid or obvious question

Chassis number for 100% identification.

B7 platform 2005 -2008

yours is B8, depending on when manufactured possibly a 2012 facelift (the B8.5)

So on the chassis number will it say B8 or B8.5 or do I need to get the chassis number and look somewhere else to find that.

Give audi a call , they will clarify if your car is a b8 or b8.5 as it was in 2012 that there was a facelift so they will know what chassis platform yours is.

they should confirm that the B8.5 was released in May 2012 , so yours is either one or the other by month/year .

your V5 will state first reg date which is all you need to know now based on the info aabove.

Having said that, it is a B8 if it looks like the one in frist picture and a B8.5 if second:
