Hi all, Iv just bought my first audi, it's a late 57 plate (8P)(BMN) A3 Spb 2.0 TDi Quattro. It has 92k and a fsh with a timing belt/water pump change done at 65k. I've only had the car just under 2wks and have not driven it much but noticed that white/grey smoke comes from the exhaust which smells like an old 80"s car also the idle seems lumpy, iv also just noticed that the coolant is a horrible dark brown colour not the light pink/red colour my old car's coolant was??
I got straight in touch with the garage i bought the car from (which is a good 2+ hrs from me) and they said if i were nearer I could have brought the car back for them to look at so suggested i phone the warranty company that i got when buying the car and see what they say, which they said I should book it into a local independent garage for the car to be fully diagnosed and go from there. The car is now booked in for Thurs next wk at a garage called A1 German Car Specialist in Stevenage, Herts. I'm hoping everything will be sorted soon as possible as im looking forward to feeling how the car performs as a daily runner as the little i have driven it feels great even though it's not running at it's best. If anyone has any suggestions or advice id be more than grateful Thanks.
