Welcome, I've just helped my daughter source a 2011 A1 1.4 tfsi as her first car. Have to say way more impressed with it than I thought I'd be.
So far only problem has been rear lights which seems to be common problem and a handy little tip, teach your Son to drop the tailgate from only the last inch as it weighs a ton and you risk the roof spoiler doing one if you drop from height
