High pressure fuel pump gasket 2.0 tdi BKD

Anyone had the gasket go on the high pressure fuel pump? Mine has gone and it is making a hell of a stink and mpg not great. Should be getting it repaired today.
Also when sat at idle the rpm creeps up to around 1000rpm, not sure wether this could be related?

Had it repaired yesterday, car is running a lot better and all the problems I had have been cured!
