Hi - had it on my last car, didn't think I'd miss it but I do! Often sit in a bit of traffic on the commute and have gotten used to not sitting there with foot on the brake.

Has anyone looked at getting this retrofitted? Bet it won't cost £75 as an the listed option price :(

Cheers

I asked Audi customer services and they said it wasn't a retro fit option due to wiring required. I had assumed it was all there except for the switch given it's such a cheap option.

Bummer OK cheers. I've seen some have fitted it themselves but not confident of doing it myself especially on a new car with the potential for voiding the warranty. Will see if there's a specialist who may be able to fit it.

Cheers .

Not sure why its so important,i hold my car with the hand brake on on a hill (or extended traffic stops) or leave the cars natural hold to do it its self.
Of course stronic helps here.

Yeah you're right it's not that important...but it's not about hills or extended stops for me, it's for when in stop/start traffic that it's really nice. Saves you from having to keep your foot on the brake when stationary because the handbrake is automatically applied until you touch the accelerator again...admittedly it's not a big deal but having had it other cars for a few years it's something I miss.

Might be splitting hairs but the hill hold doesn't actually apply the handbrake but applies the brakes on all four wheels, hence why the brake lights are on at the same time...
