Horns not working properly?

For some reason ever since fitting my front mount and relocating the horns to passenger side (above fog light), all I get is a faint beep rather than the normal sound. I tried a second hand set off ebay from a breaker but still the same. Anybody else had this problem or have any ideas?

My mates has done the same, surely it doesn't matter which way up they are mounted, or is it just coincidence this has happened?

Have you mounted them pointing up? they are supposed to be mounted pointing down so they don't collect water in them...
