Hi All

just wondered how the hell you change the battery in the Boot/Trunk?.
It seems straight forward with removing the bracket but the air suspension compressor is covering the bottom bolts. Surely I don’t need to remove the compressor too to change the battery ?.

please any help would be great.

thanks
Leigh

Thats the air suspension air tank. Compressor is mounted under the car. And yes you will need to unbolt it and move it out of the way to get to the battery clamp.

Hi Mo

huge thanks for your rapid reply.
I can’t see any fixings under the car but the compressor has two bolts attached to the front inside the boot/trunk and I’m assuming their are two bolts on the back under the boot lining possibly?.

thanks

hi
no youwont see any compressor bolts from inside the car. Its fitted between the spare tyre well and subframe when looking under the car. However in your case yes some of the bolts are hidden under the lining.
If you carefully unbolt it and move it aside to get to the clamp you wont need to even disconnect the air line to the tank.

Huge thanks for your help.
I’ll have a crack at it tomorrow.
Can I get back to you with photos if I get stuck ?.

cheers
