Have you read Dan Ariely's (professor of Psychology and behavioral Economics at Duke University) book The Upside of Irrationality, all about how we make irrational decisions when we thing we are being logical - it's a good entertaining read. He has a right pop at Audi Customer Services, in the US admittedly, for exactly this type of thing and even though he has a worldwide audience they didn't seem to be bothered by losing one customer. He uses the story to explain our natural desire for revenge - needless to say he no longer drives an Audi...

The videos on his site are well wort a watch, quite scary how predictable we really are!

Yeah, had it about a month now. Just passed 1100 miles and its getting better and better.

Got some really good pics, but struggling to upload them. Someone recommend using a photo sharing website and posting the link, but I can't access those websites from work. Is there any other way of uploading them?

Ah good I did want SG but couldn't wait. Mines on 1800 now and you notice the difference.

You cant access Photobucket in work? Guess another option is for you to email them to someone who can....:beerchug:

I so want to do this but after having one engine go bang i am paranoid of loosing the warranty ...

I'm trying to hold off. Was thinking APR after talking to a few.

Did you think about changing the exhaust?
 
BHP per £££ the exhaust might give you an extra 25BHP tops - so decided to minimise my spend at MRC and just get stage 1.

They are impressive numbers for sure, especially the 460lb/ft, had to convert into old money to get a sense of that number! I'm holding off the remap route for now, even more so after Dave Hedgehog's story.

I had my first chance for a proper full on run this week and, it's just my feeling for now which may change over time, there wasn't one single point when I thought I need more power. Everything I asked of the car it did, every overtaking opportunity was possible. I think the s-tronic box makes the car quicker than the pure bhp numbers suggest. I owned an Evo MR360 a while back and had that mapped to around 400/400. In my experience it made no real difference on the road - it was already a devastating weapon and even at 360bhp it ran out of road before performance. On track at Pembrey maybe a few 1/10's off a lap but that's still subjective, I might just have been trying harder, wider stickier tyres made a much bigger impact by contrast. I'd say the much the same about the RS3 so for now I'm happy with 'just' the 340 or so gee gees.

Mine is the cornflower blue one shown: http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/rs3-forum/107448-rs3-discussion-thread-16.html, and I love it.

Overall mpg is 28 but I have seen 35 on a pub run around the Peak District.

I did have some horrendous front brake squeal between 750 and 1000-miles but that's now resolved; I removed the pads (all four pads were very tight in the calipers) and refitted them with a generous smear of Copperslip.

I've also a 53 reg Audi A2 1.6 FSi in dolphin grey metallic, another superb motor car, and last saturday purchased a 53 reg Audi TT 3.2 DSG roadster in glacier blue (for summer use). The TT is surprisingly good on fuel returning 34.5mpg on a 65/70 mph motorway run back home.

You can add me too... Misuno Red. When I bought mine in Jan. mine was the only one Hull Audi bought from Audi. Possibly the only one in East Yorkshire sold. I did test drive one from Lincoln - Ibis White & have seen one in Sheffield, Black one. Anyone have these? Both were still demonstrators last I heard.
