I lost loads of coolant when changing thermostat over and expansion tank is completely empty.
How much coolant did i loose???

How can i flush the system and how much coolant would i need for whole system once drained out of radiator?

Also how much water to coolant should i use?

Cheers

I think it's a 3 litre system, get 4 to be safe

I tend to use a 50/50 mix

Oh and to flush system just pour water through it

cheers for that, i have got 2 1.5 ltr bottles of g12 coolant so i guess i would need to put 1 of these bottles and 1.5ltrs of water??

Any idea about drianing system?

Yeah just fill the bottle back up after putting the coolant in.

put your hand down in behind the radiator at the front of the engine bay

The pipe which comes off your thermostat has a plastic valve type thing right at the radiator

unscrew it the whole lot will come out

i'd get another bottle of the coolant btw

after filling up, remove the expansion bottle cap and let the engine run. This will remove any air trapped inside :)

Yep good advice, as above plus give the bottom rad hose a squeeze when you're filling with the expansion cap off, helps get rid of trapped air too
