I agree with a lot of that, but it's just in my experience that I've known people who have a flash car at a young age, and claim it to be some sort of measure of their wealth and success,.......................and then it turns out they live in the boxroom of their mum and dad's house with a South Park duvet cover etc LOL!!!

Yes not too far matey it's just south of old Basing which is techniaclly where I kind of live - the new builds (that are not so well built because todays housing developers scimp on quality materials - however thats another story about 20% of our roof tiles taking off into cars below when the high winds were about)

Got the skyline first, as I love the performance I was able to get out of it..
Started to look for a secondary car to drive every day in "comfort" without the loud exhaust note and fuel consumption! had a look at many motors including the golf r32, but it came down to Audi s3 simply due to being a more mature mans car, with a luxury interior which lacked in the skyline.

Bought the gti as a runaround as I work in my brothers garage and didnt want to dirty my cream leathers in the S3!lol
oh and its a 4 door, so easier for transportation of parts and pasengers.
