How To Fix Radio Signal Problem

Hi guys,

I know this is a common problem but I can honestly say I can't find a definitive answer as to how this can be fixed!
I have an 05 plate 2.0l TDi S line and the radio signal comes and goes especially in urban areas and on smaller channels, (radio 1 and 2 etc are fine).
Please, what can I do to fix this as it's driving me up the ****** wall!

Saloon or Avant?

Is there an answer on this? Mines a 2006 avant and reception is terrible. Even worse is that it doesn't retune when traveling unlike every other RDS system I've ever owned

I believe a MMI update has a fix for this and for the auto wiper sensor.
