Sorry up front for the biff question, but...

how do you make a word or phrase open a link?

So for instance if I wrote 'ASN' in a post, when you click it, it opens up that page. This is apposed to my current method of pasting the URL address, which is pap for long addresses.

Thanks in advance for any help. :sos:

Right, whilst making a post, you click on the blue earth symbol with a link on it above the text box and a window will open. Now fill the box in with the link you want it to go to and hit ok. This will put a string of code into your text box with some of the text highlighted in blue, now just type in the name you want the link to be, to replace the highlighted blues text, then move the cursor away, and there you have it.

This is an example below, click on 'quote' to have a look what it looks like.

JoJo's S3 Sig

Hope that helps.

Thanks jojo, much appreciated.

Or, the old fashioned way

[ u r l =websiteurlhere]LINK TEXT HERE[ / u r l ]

minus the spaces, works on forums without the helpful bits
