Went to start my car earlier and the key just turned all the way round without any resistance. It would turn 360 clockwise and anticlockwise. I managed to get the key out and noticed that the car wouldn't lock with the fob, probably down to the immobiliser and ignition switch.
Anyway, I went back to it after 20 mins and turned it "this way and that" a few times and then it went back to normal. I started the car fine.
I suspect something in the ignition barrel is rather worn but can anyone advise me on what sort of price a new barrell and coding will cost?
