hi All

My 2007 cab looks like this at the back

I'd like to improve it more like this.Any idea what this diffuser is and where it might be bought or even something similar
Cheers

Just like my S4 B7 without the badges.

Note newer (B7) style rear lights (only one fog light and one reverse light) and quad exhaust tips.

Newer lights need an adapter to convert wiring, and you might get just the rear valance from eBay or such like.

Thanks for the reply
Do you have any pics of the back end of yours on the forum ?

It is a standard genuine b7 s4 cab rear diffuser about £200 From Audi and should just clip in, however you'll need quad exit pipes or it will look odd.
Badges will come off with a little heat from hair drier or heat gun on very low, use dental floss to ease behind and cut through the softened glue. Then a bit of polishing to remove the glue and grime.
The one in the picture has also been lowered and has some wide tyres possibly spaced which adds to the look.

In my opinion there are no decent aftermarket rear diffusers for the cab. I had the rieger carbon fibre look one for quad pipes but it didnt fit the s4 pipes and would need a custom exhaust too so I sent it back.

Cheers Pete
That’s great info . Are the quad exit pipes readily available somewhere ?

I forgot to ask Pete is the rear diffuser on the S4 cab different than the S4 standard ?

Yep the s4 cab rear diffuser is different to the saloon and avant (which are much cheaper)
The easiest option for quad pipes is probably a second hand system from an s4. It should be an easy swap with your existing dual system. Or there are aftermarket systems like the milltek. I believe some others have successfully had single to dual tips welded on their stock back boxes so that is also an option.

That’s great info do any breakers specifically break S4s that you know of ?

There was a guy on ebay, arcadeblaster I think was his user name he specialises in s4 however the b7 s4 cabs are fairly rare so finding the rear spoiler undamaged is fairly tricky, I looked for 3 years before I upgraded to an actual s4.

Having just looked I can't seem to find him anymore.

why cant you just swap over to a b7 S4 saloon/avant valance.

I don't think they fit, the rear bumpers are different between cab and saloon/avant and the valance/diffuser is a different shape kthr saloon one doesnt have the pronouced lip shape around the pipes)

Never tried it myself but I think it would.
my avant s-line bumper with s4 b7 valance looks pretty well the same .

My thoughts are correct, all the valances are interchangeable across the variants depending on engine .
The cabs are :
8H0-807-521 ( A/B/C) choose A for 4 cyl , B for 6 cyl and C for 8 cylinder engines.
the same part numbers occur in the saloon/avant plus a few more , so that suggests you can swap saloon /avant valances across cabs.

Interesting, in which case ignore my earlier comments Vin, there are loads of other aftermarket options then depending on your taste.

But allways double check to ensure what you are doing works.

Only in shape , if you check the part numbers between the 3 b7 chassis variants you'll see the same part are used .

Hi Rob
What do you mean by only in shape ? If the part numbers are the same is the shape not going to be the same as well ? Back end of yours looks perfect ! What did you do to get the pipes into quad ?

Cheers

maybe just order an 0em S4 cab valance and its ready to fit quad tips.

The oem s4 tips on cab, saloon and avant are a smaller diameter than my tips hence why mine are a snug fit, I went with quad 90mm tips but I think the oem's are 80mm maybe a bit less, I expect a cab owner will confirm though.

The saloon / avant s4 valance is a bit more shallow in appearance than the some of the other valances but it fits perfectly.

have a look here , I know yours is a cab but it will give you a better idea on what will fit and how the various valance look etc.

Can the quad tips be bought as a straight fit to my current exhaust ? Do you know if they would work with the S4 valance?

depends really as the rear silencers on the s4's have dual outlets to start with which line up correctly with the appropriate S4 valance.
If you are looking to convert single outlet silencers to quads then you may find that offset staggered tips are needed as the valance cutout is more inward such as this, my 2.0tfsi with S4 valance fitted , you can see what happens , the original pipe is to the outside edge so if you just bought quads that were not offset they would not fit in.

so I went with the as they were offset the correct way and staggered so the outside pipe was not as far out, and as a pair they are left and right handed.

this was my original s-line valance , you can see its very different from the s4 item which is much more smoothed out , less angular.

Hi Rob
Thanks for all your input on this and sorry for the delay getting back to your reply's . im looking at this again and want to get a similar look to yours. I will have a look at how the Original exhausts line up tomorrow and take a couple of pics . Did you paint yours to match the car ? I'm debating colour coding to match the car but the missus thinks silver where did you get your tips ?

Cheers

Which valance and tips are we talking about Vince, single or doubles.

The quad tips were from Tikkos racing , but they are available via their ebay store or direct from themselves, I went direct but personal choice really.
They weren't cheap but then they are top quality so bit of a no brainer really.
Valance is a B7 S4 item , I colour matched it to my brilliant black bus.

I'd be hacking those off asap if were mine :icon thumright:
Yes , they ruin the look of the back of the car. I will need to see if I can get away with just cutting the tail pipes and adding the tips as the silencer boxes are quite high up . Hence the turned down tip.

cheers

Vince

A few pics of the S4 valance and you can see it does curve a fair bit , just like the cab valance .
Anyway I did some mock ups with tubing to see what quads looked like and angle etc before i went with the tikkos ones, glad I did aswell, I think they turned out very well.

Hi Rob
I really like that attention to detail !
Does this part number look correct to be the same
Diffuser as yours ?
Audi A4 S4 B7 Rear Bumper Diffuser 8E0807521M1RR

Sorry Rob
I need to pay more attention !
I just seen it in the pic of yours showing Bt he part number

Glad I found this, I also want to improve the rear look of my cab and was about to order the Rieger balance assuming I could install the oval tips w/o much modifications. It seems that's not the case, thus I may go w the S4 valance and the quad tips convertion listed above. Do you guys know if the RS4 Cab rear valance fits the A4 S-Line Cab rear bumper?
