Haven't been here for a long time but a colleague has a problem with their A4 Avant SE TDIe 136 so I thought 'Where better to ask?'
The car suffers intermittent power loss eg driving normally/pulling out of a junction/whatever and power just dies. The engine is still running and there are no warning lights. Just the sudden loss of power for a few seconds.
Problem number two is the car not starting on inserting the key. All the ignition lights come on but the car doesn't start. After a few goes it sorts itself out.
Any thoughts? Known issues? Both problems related? It's booked in but the stealer can't look at it for a couple of weeks so it would be nice to have a heads up.
