Iphone 5s and dock output using tunein radio & spotify

Just a question

On the australian spec S3, (no 4g LTE sim slot and no Audi connect) I will be looking at buying a genuine new ami to lightning adapter for my iPhone 5s. If I use the tunein app or spotify or just the media / music app on the iphone. Will it simply output sound to the dock connector and will MMI just play the stream ?

Do a search on here for Spotify, the support through the MMI is poor at best.
