It's the pistons that give the higher compression - they are different to the S3 pistons, albeit slightly. No need to change the compression ratio at all, just bolt the AGU bottom end on and go.
nice i've just picked up an AGU bottom end for £60, and already have a large port head at home. my thinking is to build up a new engine on a stand then do a stright swap. may be BT.... watch this space...
not exactly the right question and subject to what you are trying to achieve power/turbo but... essentially a bottom end with 20mm small ends (AGU/APY/AMK/BAM etc), rods and a large port head from an AEB/AGU or any other large port that going big bigger power setups...
