key fob not working - advanced key

I hope someone can help, this afternoon my key fob just stopped working so couldn't open the car or start it,
I changed the battery but still the light on the fob doesn't work,
I have not dropped this or anything so have no idea why its now not working,
Any ideas ?

Wow 73 views and no-one fancied a crack at answering this?? wtf, is everyone ****** or something? lol

If the key is no longer communicating with the receiver module (or whatever it talks to in the car) I assume it needs recoding or there's a fault with the key or receiver. I assume you have a spare and it's doing the same?

Anyway, it's a dealer job unless any other bright sparks wake up and have a better idea!!

Simple question... have you changed the battery in the key fob? (happend to me on my last company car with keyless. Didnt realise I had been sat with a button being pressed in all day and killed the battery in the fob - quick battery swap and all good to go)

battery changed as this is what i thought it was,

no indication of this but the red light on teh fob doesnt flash at all

Try another battery and if still FUBAR, dealer job.

already done and this is how i know its not teh battery, i swapped from my spare key,

If the car is less than 3 years old, may be covered under warranty. Just pop to your local dealer. Should be a quick job.
